By cristalena56 · June 11, 2014
A couple weeks ago I was watching my Little Mermaid 3D bluray that my hubby got me this past christmas, and decided to do a look from that bird that flounder said "then this seagull came and it was this is this, and that is that..." :p He might not have a singing voice but he's still cute nonetheless. :)

Mulan Inspired

By cristalena56 · January 14, 2013

Next up in my Disney Princess Series is Mulan. I love the movie Mulan. Can I have a dragon like mushu? <3 Who says girls cant kick some butt??

The colors I used were inspired by the picture above. I did some geisha pics during Halloween but the white makeup I used was awful and so my pictures didnt come out that great. I actually did this look back in September but never posted for some reason. I actually had to swatch my elf palette to know what colors I even used. The yellow in my waterline looks awful, sorry about that. (I didnt have a good yellow in my collection at the time.)

Ever wondered how pigmented the ELF 100 Pc Palette was?? These are swatched dry on my arm. Just rubbed my fingers slightly on colors for these quick swatches.

Items Used:
*NYX Jumbo Pencil Milk
*Elf 100 Pc Palette
*Elf Studio Cream Liner in Black
*Revlon Customeyes Mascara

*Applied Primer. (NYX HD Primer)
*Applied white base to lid and crease. (NYX Jumbo Pencil Milk)
*Blended up into brow bone.
*Applied pale yellow to inner corner. (ELF)
*Then applied a pale green. (ELF)
*Blended in a pale blue next. (ELF)
*Then blended in a teal to finish the lid. (ELF)
*Applied a bright ocean blue to the crease. (ELF)
*Applied a maroonish purple to the lower lashline. (ELF)
*Lined eyes with black liner. (ELF Studio Cream Liner)
*2 coats of mascara. (Revlon Customeyes)

The Little Mermaid - Ariel Inspired Look

By cristalena56 · December 21, 2012

Every girl seems to identify with or had a favorite Disney Princess growing up. Ariel was my favorite.

The first movie I remember going to see in the movie theater was this movie. I fell in love with it the first time I saw it. This movie also had some of the best disney songs (Part of Your World, Under the Sea, Kiss the Girl). I consider The Little Mermaid to be my favorite movie of all time, so its of no surprise that Ariel is my favorite.

I remember swimming around in the pool dreaming I was a singing mermaid. haha

Apparently as well when I was a child I liked to go exploring like she did. When I was 2 or 3 I just walked right out of the house and my parents had to call the MPs (military police - dad was in the air force) to find me. I also remember they got this stretch cord thingy that attached to my wrist and one of theirs because when we would goto the store I would just run away. When I was 5/6 I even walked to school with my cat in my backpack. I also loved music and was always singing. My family would probably say I'm a little stubborn as well. So even though Im not a redhead, I still identify myself more with her.

Anyways... I recently got some new shadows and found they would be good shades for an Ariel eye look. Its been cold here lately but still really sunny though. The color kept getting washed out in my pics. I tried taking pics inside and out. I have the worst lighting in my apt. My hubby has a light kit but its too much work to set up for a makeup look. Also really dont have a lot of room for it.

Monday EOTD - Flounder Inspired

By cristalena56 · July 23, 2012

The colors I got recently from TBN reminded me of the little mermaid and did a simple look for work today. I was inspired by Ariel's best friend Flounder.

Items Used:

*TBN Juniper

*BFTE Lemon

*TBN Ballroom Glitter

*Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Radium

*MAC Pearlglide Intense Eye Liner in Undercurrent

*NYX Eye Liner in Yellow

*Tarte Lights Camera Lashes

*First I applied NYX HD Primer

*Next I applied NYX Yellow Liner to lid.

*I applied Beauty From the Earth Lemon(you could substitute TBN Lemon Drop) over the yellow liner. (Side Note: I hate the way Lemon shows up in pictures.)

*Then I shaped the shadow with UD Liner Radium.

*I applied TBN Juniper Over it.

*I then applied TBN Ballroom Glitter on top of the Juniper.

*Applied another layer of Lemon on the lid.

*I redrew the shape with UD Radium

*Next I lined my eyes with MAC Undercurrent (i should have sharpened it first). Its a sparkley green liner with some gold sparkle. Made me think of the ocean.

*Next I applied Tarte Lights Camera Lashes

haha I got this in a Mcdonalds Happy Meal Years ago when they had Little Mermaid stuff.

Last Night I was bored and drew a Flounder on my eye. I messed up the eye. Dont laugh at my non artistic skills... Ok I did... :p
