By cristalena56 · May 31, 2013
I'm so excited for the new Monster's Inc movie to come out. Its back when they were in college before they became the scarer's... ermmm comedians they are now. lol I adored the first movie, and i'm sure I wont be disappointed when I see the new one. It looks super cute!! I love Disney Pixar movies (Disney movies in general).

While thinking what eye makeup I should wear, I thought of this movie and decided to do a look based on Sulley. Though to Boo, his name is Kitty.

Man of Steel EOTD

|
By cristalena56 · May 28, 2013

This past weekend was the Annual Phoenix Comicon indowntown phoenix at the convention center. My hubbyand I go every year. We are hoping to one of these days goto the San Diego one. (This one is super hard to get tickets for!!)

I decided for the first day I would wear a Superman look and wear my superman shirt complete with cape. lol I got it for like $8.00 last year at wal-mart of all places. I thought it would be good since the new Superman movie is coming out next week. The sexy Henry Cavill (Count of Monte Cristo, Tudors, Immortals, etc...) is the new "Man of Steel". <3 Haha This makes me think way back to the MSN Chat days and he was actually a contact on my MSN Messenger. He had added me but I could never get up the guts to actually message him. The only thing he had been in at the time was a couple british stuff and the Count of Monte Cristo. I think I made one of his first fan pages. lol

A couple weeks ago BFTE came out with a new pro color, Shine Bright. It was the color of the week 3 weeks ago and i've yet to see it on the website in the pro colors section. Its a bright sunny yellow with silver shimmer. I thought it would be perfect to use for my superman look. The blue I used didnt show up well in the pictures. Also I should have added a blue to my waterline to complete the look. (I would have used either my Cargo Swimmable Blue or UD Radium)

*Highlighted with Shiny White Shadow. (BFTE Crystal)
*Apply Black liner. (ELF Black Cream Liner)
*2 Coats of Mascara (Maybelline Falsies)
*You could finish the look applying a Blue Liner to the waterline and using false lashes.

You can find all the colors I used at the BFTE Cosmetics Website. Samples are $2.00 and Full Size are $6.00. Its the same price whether its a pro color or not. A good way to try out their shadows is by ordering the Color of the Week Special. (Full Size COTW and 3 Samples of your Choice)

Notes: I didnt realize Leesha (XSPARKAGE) was at the comicon all weekend. I think I saw her once because I remember thinking to myself, that girl looks like Leesha. I would have totally gotten a pic with her, if I had seen her and realized it was her. She's the reason i'm into all these bright colors and just makeup in general.

Madison (Splash) Inspired Eye Look

|
By cristalena56 · May 23, 2013
When I was looking at mermaid pictures yesterday I came across a picture of the mermaid in the movie splash. I love that movie. I was inspired to base my eye look today from the colors of her tail in the movie.

The colors are very summery, so it seemed perfect to come up with a look. Summer is coming up here shortly. I know kids are starting to finish up school since we have been extra busy at work in the past couple weeks. I wish I could capture my makeup better. I always seem to have these dark shadows in the pictures which I try to lighten. I was in a hurry to get to work, and took some quick pictures. Don't mind my funky hair again. My brush is in the car, and I have been brushing it on the way to work. lol (at a red light of course)

Inglot Haul

|
By cristalena56 · May 20, 2013

I went to Las Vegas last weekend for the first time. I remembered that there was a Inglot store somewhere there. I decided to find it and found it in the Caesar's Palace (my favorite casino!!) Forum Shops. I just had to start from one end to the other to find it. My hubby said he waited an hour for me to be done inside the store, but I dont think I was in there for that long. lol

I took a quick picture when I was leaving. I found myself almost ordering stuff from them at their online website since I first heard about them. I was hesistant since I hadnt seen their products in person. Its hard to tell how big the items are and how I will like the finishes/etc. without seeing them firsthand. I ended up buying 6 shadows, 1 pigment, and 1 eye liner. It was hard to pick out colors. I would have bought the empty palette but too expensive. Ill look on ebay or amazon for one I can use.

I found the shadows to be a pretty decent size. They only cost $6 each. The pigment was $14.00 and the eyeliner was $12.00.

Since I burn instead of tanning, I can at least warm up my eyes with shadow and my face with blush/bronzer.

New technology gives Moondust an amazing effect not found in traditional pressed-powder shadows. It feels like a cream but goes on like a powder to create a smooth, brilliantly reflective look. The result? Sexy, twinkling sparkle with a ton of depth and movement. (And a LOT of questions about what you’re wearing!)

The theme for last month's bag was Pretty in Pink.

Smooth white bag with pink zipper.

Every bag comes with a post card with the theme on one side and..

The brands that are included in that month's bag. (though you might not get something from every brand listed since sometimes they have you either get this one product or another. Which happened for this bag.)

Some of the packaging screams out MAC but none of the products are from them though. (I wish!!)

Product: Sation Nail Lacquer in "Of Courset I'll Call You" (The other color was "Love and First Byte".)
Description: Sation Nail Lacquer is a contemporary beauty company, infusing a creative direction in nail care through a blend of lifestyle aesthetics. The collection features 120 colors from its seasonal & limited collections.
Size: Full Size (0.5 oz/15 ml)

Some said these were chalky.. I applied over the $1.00 Elf Primer for the swatch and they applied smoothly and with ease. I havent tried wearing it yet though.

Product: Sexy Hair Powder Play (Or Healthy Hair Soy Renewal)
Description: Get ‘POW’ volume in an instant with Sexy Hair's Powder Play! Powder Play adds instant volume to any type of hair style or texture. Weightless, odorless, and colorless! Instantly liquifies when applied and adds volume and texture in seconds. Just sprinkle on dry hair at the root for lift and volume. Apply throughout the hair for extreme volume and texture.

Value: $2.10 (Full Size is $15.95)

Total Value: $30.09

Where to Subscribe: Ipsy
Thoughts on the Bag: Love my blush!!! I would have preferred the Mica Beauty Earth shadow over the one I recieved. I dont see me ever using the polish since I like bright colors and not a Pink French Manicure color. The powder I will never use since I have oily hair.
